Sichuan University (SCU) is one of China’s top universities. It is identified as a key high-level comprehensive research university under Project 985 and Project 211. By the end of 2015, there were 5,238 full-time teachers. The current student body includes approximately 37,000 undergraduate students, over 20,000 master and PhD candidates and more than 3,000 international students and students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
The staff of The Institute of New Energy and Low-Carbon Technology (INELT) of the University of SCU is performing the action. The INELT was built in 2011 and under the direct supervision of SCU. The INELT integrates life sciences with other related disciplines including environmental science and engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science and engineering, hydrology and hydropower engineering, civil engineering, economics and management sciences together and focuses its activities on the exploitation of unconventional energy sources(e.g., biomass, solar power, shale gas), new energy- storage materials, low-carbon urban development, low-carbon economy, policy and management, utilization and storage of carbon dioxide, energy conservation and emission reduction, and catalytic combustion.
SCU is developing the curriculum, implement and disseminate the pilot master program at the University level. ECUST is leading the Mobility of Students Action.
